Submersible Pumping System for Drinking Water for Dar es Salaam Communities – In 2017, Photons Energy LTD completed the installation of a submersible water pumping system that uses solar PV power in the Dar es Salaam region. The system pumps up groundwater with a total dynamic head of 51 m. This results in a flow rate of drinking water of 30 m3 (30.000 liters) per day. The solar generator used to power the pump delivers 2.7 kWp.
